These Terms of Service govern your use of Locally Owned Appleton ("the Platform"), operated by Forward Trends Media, Appleton, Wisconsin. By signing up as a business member, you agree to these terms.
Your membership is $275 per month, billed automatically on the same date each month using the payment method you provide at signup. This is a recurring charge — it continues every month until you cancel.
We're upfront about that because we think once you see what $275 actually gets you, canceling will be the last thing on your mind.
Here's what renews every month:
That's the digital marketing infrastructure most businesses pay thousands of dollars to build separately — handled, maintained, and driving traffic for $275 a month.
Annual members save 15% ($2,750/year billed upfront). Annual members receive 60-day and 30-day renewal notices before being charged again.
You can cancel anytime from your business portal. No phone calls, no cancellation fees, no runaround. Monthly members: cancel before your next billing date and you won't be charged again. Annual members: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current annual term.
We never auto-charge annual members without first sending a 60-day and 30-day reminder. Monthly members are on a true month-to-month — cancel before renewal and you're done.
Featured Listings ($75/mo), Ticker Banner ($125/mo), and Hero Rotator ($200/mo) are optional add-ons billed monthly in addition to your base membership. Add-ons are subject to slot availability. If a slot becomes unavailable at renewal, we will notify you before the charge date.
Add-ons can be cancelled separately from your base membership through your business portal or by contacting us directly.
Your first payment is prorated based on the number of days remaining in the current calendar month at the time of signup. After that, you are billed the full monthly rate on the same date each month.
We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-month, your listing remains active through the end of the period you already paid for. We handle edge cases on a case-by-case basis — if something goes wrong on our end, we make it right.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your business information, offers, and coupon codes. You warrant that the content you submit does not infringe on any third-party rights and is not misleading. We reserve the right to remove or edit listings that contain false, misleading, or inappropriate content.
You grant Locally Owned Appleton a non-exclusive license to display your business name, logo, photos, and offer information on the Platform and in related marketing materials for the duration of your membership.
We maintain the Platform and work to keep it available, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance, hosting issues, or circumstances outside our control may occasionally affect availability. We are not liable for losses resulting from temporary unavailability.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. Your payment information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy and terms at stripe.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate listings that violate these terms, contain fraudulent information, or are associated with chargebacks or payment disputes. We will notify you before taking action except in cases of serious violations.
Forward Trends Media is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability to you in any month shall not exceed the amount you paid us in that month.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active members by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any disputes shall be resolved in Outagamie County, Wisconsin.
